A General Guide to the Conveyancing Process when Selling and Purchasing a Property

The process for buying and selling a property is simply a combination of both the buying and selling procedures. Most client's will seek to complete on their sale and purchase simultaneously, moving from one home to another on the same day. Your Solicitor will be liaising with the buyer of your old property and the seller of your new property to ensure that all parties are ready to complete on the same day.

As with anything in life the more people are involved the more complicated things can become but with the help of your Solicitor and a little luck your transaction can run smoothly. It must always be borne in mind though that until Contracts are exchanged either party can pull out of the transaction without penalty.
